Lt. Tommy Bushek
Lt. Tommy Bushek started working at the Randall County Sheriff’s in 2001 and has served in several capacities prior to being promoted to Service Division Lieutenant in 2012. Lieutenant Bushek initially worked in communications as a dispatcher, and then served as a patrol deputy, patrol corporal, and patrol sergeant. Lieutenant Bushek holds an Advanced Police Sniper Certification. Lt. Bushek is also a certified Taser Instructor, a certified TCOLE Instructor, Field Training Officer and a member of the Randall County Sheriff’s Honor Guard.
Lieutenant Bushek holds a Master Peace Officer’s License. He worked for the New York State Department of Corrections from 1987 until 1996. From 1998 until 2001 he worked for the Amarillo Police Department as a dispatcher. Lieutenant Bushek is currently a member of Texas NENA (National Emergency Number Association), and he currently is President Elect of the Texas 911 Trainers (TNT).
The Service Division is the nerve center of the Sheriff’s Office. Service Division is responsible for the maintenance of all records and the service of active warrants. Additionally, the Service Division handles all communications including two-way radio with the officers, the 911 call center and it is the initial contact source for fire and medical services.
